According to the internet, this was one of the best places to go in Taipei to shop for electronic goods, so I went to check it out!
There are a total of six floors, although I believe the top floor is for maintenance or something, so there are no shops.
The first floor of the plaza is mostly filled with shops selling computers, laptops, and gaming peripherals by well-known Taiwanese computer hardware brands such as ASUS, Acer, and Micro-Star International (MSI). On the second floor and upwards is when the store types start to diversify. There were quite a few stores specialized in selling CPUs, GPUs, and SSDs. I also saw several security camera and dash cam stores. Of course, there were also stores selling console games, and I picked up the new Wii Sports game for the Nintendo Switch, which came out in April. One thing to watch out for is that not all shops accept credit card!
I had a really fun time looking around the different shops. I managed to bargain for a lower price on the Seiren Mini, which I was super happy about. No immersive Chinese experience is complete without experiencing a win in bargaining negotiations!
Markets and plazas like this one are not uncommon across Asia. When I visited Hong Kong, I also noticed that electronics markets tended to be like this one: one plaza with many stories and stores. Maybe the competition keeps everyone on their toes?
This post is pretty short, but enjoy the photos and see you on my next one!
